01 / INNOVATION

Young people's lifestyle is so entreched in technology that if youth work fails to embrace the use of technology and social media there is the risk of becoming outdated and irrelevant to the young people who use the youth services. We develop ICT based innovative activities able to create effective learning patterns for the youth with the potential to motivate and engage growing numbers of youths.

02 / HIGH QUALITY

We prommote high quality of youth work through the sharing of validated ICT based tools with other youth organizations and professionals in the field of youth (publication of a digital booklet, organization of webinars and pubblication of video tutorials), showing how youth work can be improved by ICT and social media in organizational, communicational andeducational aspects .

03 / INCLUSION

A wider use of ICT, social and digital media in youth work represents also a means to make the youth work more inclusive: social and digital tools have a leading role for the facilitation for mixed abilities group activities thanks to their capacity to overcome some obstacles to participation usually faced by people with disabilities (ex. attention deficits, difficulties in oral communication, motor impairments).

MEET HI-TECH YOUTH WORK

OUR STORY

Hi-tech Youth Work is a 2 years strategic partnership in the field of youth (March 2017 - February 2019). It created a field of sharing of competences and tools, validated by youth organizations based in 4 different countries (Italy, Malta, Moldova and Lithuania), in order to increase the abilities of the involved youth workers to act also as media educators, able to use social media and digital competences not only for the purpose of communication but also as part of the key content of youth work, even able to make inclusive the youth work.

OUR VISION

It represents an answer to the need of constant updating of the youth workers to the new technologies, allowing a transnational exchange of competences and suggestions that can represent a point of reference for other youth workers and organizations. The cooperation among youth workers from different countries will allow to deepen the use of different ICT tools and methods that during the project will be generalized and applied in the partner organizations, laying the foundations for an European shared inclusive and high quality youth work.

OUR TECHNOLOGY

Use of social and digital media for communication purposes and management issues
ICT based educational games, youth activities based on the creation of digital contents: digital photography, meme, photo-galleries, video, documentary movies, digital art, digital booklets etc.
Suggestions and methods about the management of youth work activities with mixed ability groups using the vehicle of the creation of digital contents.
